A custom HoloKote prints your custom graphic into the overlay panel during the normal card printing cycle, providing anti-counterfeit protection to your cards. The custom HoloKote repeats your custom watermark in a frosted image that is invisible when viewed normally. When flexed or held at an angle in direct light, your custom HoloKote image becomes clearly visible.
The custom HoloKote is designed to be used with our PPC ID 3100 Plastic Card Printer. Your custom image is encrypted and electronically stored on a special order data CD and key card set. The CD holds the custom data, that is loaded to the firmware of the printer via a connected PC, and the key card inserts into a slot in the printer allowing the specified printer to produce the watermark on the ID badge during the normal print cycle. When the HoloKote is used with HoloPatch cards, one area of the HoloKote watermark can be highlighted as a highly-visible gold seal on your card.
The difference between Custom HoloKote and Custom HoloKote FLEX
A custom HoloKote uses a fixed 6×4 grid pattern that is repeated across the surface of your cards, whereas a custom HoloKote Flex allows you to specify the size and location of your custom watermark across the area of your cards.
